In June 2012, Viking Range Corporation recalled approximately 5,300 built-in refrigerators. The door hinge could fail, causing the heavy door to detach and fall, posing a serious injury risk.
Consumers were instructed to contact Viking for a free in-home repair. Until the repair was completed, consumers were advised to exercise caution when opening and closing the refrigerator door.
