Reannouncement: Frigidaire & Kenmore Electric Ranges Due to Fire and Burn Hazards (2024)
Recall Overview
On May 16, 2024, Electrolux Group reannounced a recall of Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery, Frigidaire Professional, and Kenmore Elite smooth-top electric ranges. Since the original 2009 recall, Electrolux received at least 212 reports including 14 fires and eight injuries.
The affected ranges were sold at Sears and independent appliance stores from June 2001 through August 2009 for between $1,000 and $2,500. Consumers were advised to contact Electrolux at 888-845-8226 or register at www.potentiometerrecall.com.
