In 2016, LG Electronics recalled approximately 18,000 gas ranges due to a fire hazard. Gas could leak from the oven door area when the front left burner was in use.
LG received reports of gas odors and flames near the oven door during use. The affected gas ranges were sold at major retail and home improvement stores nationwide. Consumers were instructed to immediately stop using the front left burner and contact LG for a free in-home repair.
