GE Appliances Recalls French-Door Refrigerators Due to Fall Hazard (2022)

Recall Overview

On April 14, 2022, GE Appliances recalled approximately 155,000 French door refrigerators. The firm received 71 reports of handles detaching, resulting in 37 injuries including three serious fall injuries.

The refrigerators were sold at Home Depot, Lowe’s, Best Buy and other stores from February 2020 through January 2022 for between $1,900 and $2,500. Consumers were advised to contact GE at 888-345-4671.
