GE Appliances Recalls Electric Cooktops Due to Burn Hazard (2024)
Recall Overview
GE Appliances recalled approximately 11,000 JP3030 knob-controlled electric radiant cooktops manufactured from July 2022 through September 2022. GE received 83 reports of burners failing to regulate temperature or power off. No injuries were reported.
The cooktops were sold at Best Buy, Lowe’s, Home Depot, and other stores from July 2022 through 2023 for between $1,110 and $1,220. Consumers were advised to contact GE Appliances at 877-261-1509.
