BSH Recalls Dishwasher Power Cords (Bosch Included) (2015)
Recall Overview
In May 2015, BSH Home Appliances recalled approximately 3.7 million dishwashers sold under the Bosch, Thermador, Gaggenau, Kenmore, and Jenn-Air brand names. The power cord connected to the dishwasher junction box could overheat and pose a fire hazard.
BSH received 119 reports of power cords overheating, including 14 reports of fires that caused minor property damage. No injuries were reported. The dishwashers were sold at major retailers and appliance dealers from January 2008 through January 2015. Consumers were advised to contact BSH for a free power cord replacement.
