BSH Home Appliances Expands Recall of Dishwashers Due to Fire Hazard (Thermador Included) (2018)
Recall Overview
In January 2018, BSH Home Appliances expanded its recall of dishwashers due to a fire hazard. The expanded recall included dishwashers sold under the Thermador, Bosch, Gaggenau, Kenmore, and Jenn-Air brand names. The power cord connection to the dishwasher could overheat and pose a fire risk.
This expansion added approximately 400,000 units to the original 2015 recall. BSH received additional reports of overheating incidents. Consumers were advised to contact BSH at 888-965-5813 for a free replacement power cord and professional installation.
