BSH Home Appliances Dishwasher Recall — Power Cord Overheating (Thermador Included) (2015)
Recall Overview
In May 2015, BSH Home Appliances recalled approximately 3.7 million dishwashers sold under multiple brand names including Thermador, Bosch, Gaggenau, Kenmore, and Jenn-Air. The power cord connecting to the dishwasher junction box could overheat and pose a fire hazard.
BSH received 119 reports of power cords overheating, including 14 reports of fires. No injuries were reported. Affected units were sold from January 2008 through January 2015 at major retailers and authorized dealers for between $400 and $2,500.
